The Mary Rose Tea Bomb is a unique way to conduct a tea ceremony. A sphere formed from isomalt – a plant-based substance derived from sugar beet – dissolves in hot water, releasing its contents in a ritual full of flavour, aroma and colour. Isomalt adds a gentle sweetness, but never overpowers the flavour – it simply accompanies it, like a soft whisper. How to prepare the infusion?
- Prepare your vessel – ideally a glass teapot, in which you can observe the magical spectacle that unfolds as the tea brews.
- Pour in 500-600ml of boiling water – let the boil become the fire that begins the transformation.
- Place the tea bomb in the water. Watch. Do not stir – surrender to the magic of tea.
- Brew for about 5 minutes. During this time, you may whisper your intention or focus on your breath.
- For an even more enchanting visual effect: place the bomb in the freezer for 10-15 minutes before brewing. The “explosion” will be even more spectacular.
